À propos

S.K.I.F., also known as SBG, was established in Moscow, Russia, in 1996, initially focusing on multimedia encyclopedias and titles for the Russian computer entertainment market. By 1998, the studio had successfully developed over ten multimedia encyclopedias covering diverse topics such as Cats, Dogs, and Dinosaurs. In 1999, S.K.I.F. transitioned into game development with the release of their first full-scale computer game, "Petka." However, the studio faced challenges and was disbanded in 2001, leading its employees to form Primal Software.

Key figures in S.K.I.F. included its founders and early developers who contributed to the studio's initial multimedia successes. The most notable project, "Red Comrades: For the Great Justice," showcased the studio's unique blend of humor and adventure, leaving a lasting impression on players. S.K.I.F.'s influence on the gaming industry is marked by its early foray into narrative-driven games, contributing to the evolution of the adventure genre in Russia.

The studio primarily focused on adventure games, often incorporating elements of humor and cultural references. Although S.K.I.F. did not receive widespread international recognition, its contributions to the Russian gaming landscape have been acknowledged within the local industry. The studio's legacy continues through the works of its former employees, who have carried forward its innovative spirit in subsequent ventures.
